Chucky Trading Co – ‘In the Dark’

Manhattan-based artist Chucky Trading Co has released the superb single ‘In the Dark’ in March 2022. It is a folk-rock release filled with a lot of heart.

A full band opens the release with bright electric guitars which have been mixed to either side of the sonic spectrum. As the vocals enter, they take the reins of the song. We adore the lyrics, which are relatable and compelling.

The layered backing instrumentation has been intelligently arranged and mixed masterfully. Every part of the layered instrumentation has its own space in the mix and shines bright.

In addition, the chorus features layered vocals and memorable hooks. We love the darker vibe to the chorus, which takes the single in a new direction. Chucky Trading Co knows how to keep the listener on their toes!
