Come At The King – ‘Old Town Fighter’

One of our favourite bands are back. London based trio Come At The King, have released their magnificent latest single ‘Old Town Fighter’, today, 9th April 2020.

Big, driving and rhythmic electric guitars open the single. They are filled with distortion, and their jangly nature adds instant appeal to the song. The vocals join with catchy attention-grabbing authority. A melodic bass joins the song along with the driving drums, and the single is in full flow.

‘Old Town Fighter’ is instantly likeable and is destined to have you reaching for the repeat button. We loved the chorus, which is upbeat and catchy. The trio are all excellent musicians and have created a classic song with this single that is destined to stand the test of time.

Come At The King says, “Our fan base is growing exponentially, and although we’d love to get out playing to our fans alongside this release, we are trying to bring some music joy to those at home.” They continue, “The track is about my home town and the people who live within it, caught up in their own little world unable to see what’s beyond. With slight sociopolitical undertones, it’s a relevant and relatable story of how people look out for themselves while sticking to the same old routine.”

2020 has already seen Come At The King reach the semi-finals of the Isle of Wight Festival New Blood competition as well as supporting the likes of Parliamo and Penny Mob. We are sure the ’20s are going to be a big decade for this excellent trio, and we can not wait to hear what they will do next. Until then, check out ‘Old Town Fighter’ from the link below.
