DARCY – ‘Faithful’
New York-based artist DARCY has released the superb single ‘Faithful’, in February 2021. It is an alternative-country single which will have you reaching for the repeat button!
A rich and soulful piano opens the release. It is graceful and sets the solid foundation for DARCY’s masterful vocals to enter. The two duet together, filling the sonic spectrum with luscious colour.
We adore the stripped back instrumentation, which lets the track shine in the light in which it was written. The arrangement also allows the lyrics to shine at the forefront of the track, connecting the listener to the song.
In addition, the chordal progressions are gorgeous; they take the song in fresh directions and keep the audience fully engaged. The main melody is catchy and stays with the listener long after the music has ended.

DARCY says about the release, “Faithful was one of the last songs I wrote for my album. While the title is ironic, because the song is about being cheated on, there is nothing ironic about the emotions behind writing it.”
She continues, “This single is the title track on the album (which will be released on Feb 12th,) and this song served itself as my own way to start to find closure and to begin healing a very broken heart.” After hearing ‘Faithful’, we are so excited to listen to the full album!
