Di WAV – ‘Despierta’
Hailing from Florida, Di WAV has released the stunning EP ‘Despierta’. It is an electronic-pop classic in the making and one which needs to be heard this February 2021.
‘Ellos – Linxes’ opens the release, and it is hard-hitting from the get-go. We adore Di WAV’s soulful and passionate vocal performance. It illuminates the sonic spectrum with luscious colour.
‘Mente Criminal’ is a captivating song too. It evolves before the audience and is a driving song. ‘Cristales de Hielo’ has a dark and mysterious feel with Di WAV’s haunting vocal performance. The textured instrumentation is compelling, and it is a thoroughly engaging song. Finally, a brilliant cover of Depeche Mode’s ‘Precious’ closes the release and leaves the listener wanting more!
Di WAV says about ‘Precious’, “(It is) more than a cover, to me, it is a tribute to the band and how much they have touched me with their music throughout my life. I think it’s a nice way to close the EP because of what it means to me on so many different levels.”

‘Despierta’ has been produced by five-time Latin Grammy nominee Marthin Chan and Grammy winner Reuven Amiel. Together, the team have crafted an EP which sets Di WAV firmly apart from the crowd. She is an artist with a big future, and we very much look forward to hearing what she will do next in 2021.
