FireBug – ‘No Return’
American-based band FireBug has released the excellent album ‘No Return’. It is an alternative-rock release that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
The title track opens the release to a gorgeously picked electric guitar. Then, as the vocals enter, they instantly fill the sonic spectrum with a gorgeous tone and we love how the song evolves before the audience.
‘Change’ is a standout track. It is instantly enticing and draws the listener in. With melodic riffs and a soulful vocal performance, it is a song that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
In addition, we enjoyed ‘Down’, which features silky duelling guitars and a heartfelt vocal performance. ‘No Return’ is an album you do not want to miss.
Influences
FireBug cites their influences as coming from artists such as Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix Cream and Summer Of Love. FireBug stands shoulder to shoulder with any of these artists, and they are making relevant music that needs to be heard.
Knebworth
Previously, the band have performed at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, UK, with headliners Iggy Pop and The Cult to an audience of 85,000. They are a classy and exciting band who are here to stay.
Comments
FireBug explains the ethos behind ‘No Return’, “Well living now up in Joshua Tree California with everything that it offers, the amazing artists as well as the beautiful views surrounding this region.”
They continue, “It’s all very inspiring and has added so much to our music. Living in New Orleans also has influenced us so much. The blending of the two regions from the swamp to the desert has definitely expanded our musical palate.”
