Glass Cases – ‘Chemicals’
Hailing from Colorado Springs, Glass Cases have released the phenomenal indie-pop single ‘Chemicals’ in January 2021. It is a brilliant release which needs to be heard.
‘Chemicals’ enters the sonic spectrum and instantly demands the listener’s attention. We adore the full band sound which instantly injects colour and texture into the track.
The charming and characterful vocals are apparent from the get-go, and they masterfully guide the song along. We love the twists and turns in the track’s pace; the unpredictable changes keeps the audience on their toes and fully engaged.
There is also a brilliant video which accompanies the release. It offers the perfect visual accompaniment to the thoroughly addictive music. We thoroughly recommend checking it out.
‘Chemicals’ is a deeply relatable song, and this is a bit part of Glass Cases’ charm, they have the ability to connect with their audience effortlessly.
Glass Cases say about the release, “The group’s latest single ‘Chemicals’ is upbeat and makes for easy listening. A deeper lyrical dive uncovers themes of inner conflict and mental health, tied together by Christian undertones.”
They continue, “The internal conflict is made strikingly apparent in the track’s accompanying music video, set at an abandoned gas station somewhere in Colorado.”
Album
We are thrilled to see the band released a full album in 2020 entitled, ‘In Between’. After hearing ‘Chemicals’, we can not wait to check out their back catalogue too.
So make sure you add ‘Chemicals’ to your playlist this week. Glass Cases are a band who are going places, and we very much look forward to hearing what will come next from them in 2021.
