Half Watt Aströnaut – ‘Blue Collar’

Half Watt Aströnaut is an alternative-rock duo hailing from Nashville. Their latest single ‘Blue Collar’ is a brilliant release with a big heart.

Big, grungy guitars open the release. They are filled with character and set the tone brilliantly. As the bass and drums drop, they lay the foundation for the textured vocals to shine. We adore the driving nature of the single from the beginning. It is instantly attention-grabbing and draws the audience in.

The layered instrumentation creates balance within the piece. We love the arrangement which allows the track to ebb and flow, always feeling fresh and keeping the listener on their toes. Half Watt Aströnaut know how to write a song that stays with the listener long after the music has ended!

The band say about the release, “‘Blue Collar’ is for everyone going out each day and busting their asses on a tough job while getting no recognition. It’s an anthem for the 6 am-dark shift workers that the foundation of this country is built on.” We could not agree more!

Half Watt Aströnaut is comprised of band members Nic Blankenship – Vocals, Guitar, Bass and Haydn Cone – Drums. They are a formidable duo who are making new and exciting music that needs to be heard.

Mike Fahey

‘Blue Collar’ was recorded at Sputnik Sound Studio in Nashville by engineer Mike Fahey. Together, the team have created a single that is ear-catching and will stand the test of time.

We can not recommend Half Watt Aströnaut enough. They are a talented duo with a bright future ahead of them. We very much look forward to hearing what they will do next. Until then, check out ‘Blue Collar’ from the link below, you will not be disappointed!
