Hana Piranha – ‘Eurydice’

‘Eurydice’ is the beautifully emotional latest release from the artist, Hana Piranha. It opens to a mysterious cello setting the scene beautifully as to what is to come. Layers of intrigue build slowly, and a deep connection with the listener emerges.

Piranha’s vocal performance is stunning. Her voice conveys emotion and tells a story. She makes the listener feel as though she is singing directly to them, and this bond is carried throughout the song. Passionate lyrics fill the sonic landscape and transcend being ‘just a song’. There are deep and mesmerising melodies that carry the track along and come the end; the listener is left wanting more. We adored the chorus, it is catchy and a nice deviation to what we have heard before. There is also a rising choral arpeggio at the end, which is another surprising and welcome twist.

Drawing from Piranha’s classical upbringing, ‘Eurydice’ is quite simple in its instrumentation, it is just a vocal and harp. This stripped-back instrumentation lets the song shine in an honest and true light. It relies heavily upon the quality of the songwriting and composition. Both do ‘Eurydice’ full justice. We love this quality about the single; there are no bells and whistles just genuine talent. Blissful.

‘Eurydice’ is the first single to be released from Piranha’s upcoming album, ‘Wednesday’s Child’. This song draws inspiration from Greek mythology to reflect on the impact of depression within a relationship. It is a tale as old as time and yet still as relatable as it ever has been.

So make sure you check out ‘Eurydice’ from the link below today. We can not wait to hear the full album. Piranha is an exceptional talent who needs to be heard!
