Iris Hill are a band hailing from Netanya, Israel. Their latest single, ‘Boy, I Love You’, was released on 18th October 2019, and it is a mighty release!
The single opens to the sound of vocals and a staccato guitar riff. The two duets and instantly demand the listeners’ attention. Bass, guitars, and drums enter, and immediately, the hard-hitting nature of the song takes over. The vocals are at the forefront of the mix, and they are filled with emotion and intensity. The chorus is memorable and melodic, with infectious guitar riffs underpinning it.
Iris Hill are a great group of musicians. Their skill and talents are on full display during the 3-minute single. They have created a sound which is reminiscent of the Arctic Monkeys but make no mistake; Iris Hill are a band who will breathe new life into the rock genre.
Iris Hill says, “‘Boy I love you’ talks about an unstable relationship from the boy’s perspective. An uncertainty on how things are going to end. The main influence of the song is mostly from Arctic Monkeys “Favorite Worst Nightmare” album. The song was recorded with producer Noam Levinberg, the vocals you hear are the very first ‘rough takes’ that we decided to keep because it sounded ‘raw.’”
Comprised of members, Nati Twina (lead vocal, rhythm guitar), Roy Assodri (lead guitar, vocals), Amit Mosberg (bass guitar, vocals), and Guy Dekel (drums, vocals), Iris Hill are a band to watch. Their infectious sound will win them many new fans with this release and we can not wait to hear what will come next from such an exciting band. Check out ‘Boy, I Love You’ now!
