IsaacO – ‘Hopeless And Lonely’

Hailing from Birmingham in the UK, musician IsaacO has released the excellent indie-pop single ‘Hopeless And Lonely’ in November 2020.

A gorgeous piano opens the release. IsaacO’s soulful and emotive vocals swiftly accompany it. His voice is instantly engaging and draws the audience’s attention in. We adore his tone; it has a depth to it that is wonderfully intoxicating. His superb range is on full display and fills the sonic spectrum.

We adore the stripped back instrumentation of the single. It is simply a piano and vocal arrangement that lets the song shine in the light in which it was written. The lyrics are excellent, and the chordal progression is simply divine too. ‘Hopeless And Lonely’ stays with the listener long after the music has ended.

IsaacO says about the release, “(It offers) a fresh perspective to the fear of loneliness and despair that many of us experienced during the lockdown period through chilled, easy-listening and soulful music.” This is what makes ‘Hopeless And Lonely’ such a great track. It is deeply relatable; a topic we can all relate to.

Collaborations

‘Hopeless And Lonely’ was written with long-term collaborator and producer Theo “T.O” Davis and songwriter Josh Wheatley. You can hear the group have put their hearts and souls into this piece. Together the team have produced a piece of art that is engaging and will have you reaching for the repeat button.

So make sure you add ‘Hopeless And Lonely’ to your weekday playlist. IsaacO is an artist who is just getting started, and we very much look forward to hearing what he will do next. Until then, ‘Hopeless And Lonely’ is available to stream from the link below. You will not be disappointed!
