Jacob Shipley – ‘Brave New World’ (Live From The Pit)
New York-based artist Jacob Shipley has released the excellent single ‘Brave New World’ today, 15th January 2021. It is a superb folk-pop release that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated!
A staccato guitar opens the release. It is gorgeously picked and lays the solid foundation for Jacob Shipley charismatic vocals to breakthrough.
The atmospheric scene is set from the get-go. We adore the laid back instrumentation which lets the song shine in the light in which it was written.
Also the lyrics which grace the piece are superb. ‘Brave New World’ is relatable and offers hope to the listener. Shipley reaches out and touches the audience, and this is part of his charm.
In addition, the unpredictable chordal progressions add further layers of texture, interest and intrigue to the piece. Jacob Shipley is a talented songwriter who fully engages with his audience.
