Brooklyn-based musician Jenny Kern has released the excellent single ‘Coming Back For Me’ today, 15th January 2021. It is an indie-pop classic in the making!
An atmospheric opening greets the audience. Jenny Kern’s soulful voice enters and is instantly enticing. We adore the rich and profound nature of her vocal performance which conveys emotion beautifully.
The piano, gentle synths, and double-tracked vocals all add further colour into the piece. The layered instrumentation provides a solid foundation for Kern’s heartfelt vocals to shine.
We adore the chorus which reaches out and touches the listener. ‘Coming Back For Me’ evolves in intensity before the audience and a well rounded and harmonious balance has been achieved.
Jenny Kern says about the release, “‘Coming Back For Me’ is a song about solitude. It’s about being alone and learning to be okay with it. Especially during this time, with everything going on in the world.” She continues, “There’s a tension between the inner self and the outer world.
