Jesse Grossi – ‘Bad Girl’
Hailing from Los Angeles, musician Jesse Grossi has released the exceptional single ‘Bad Girl’ in September 2020. It is a genre-bending release that will have you reaching for the repeat button!
A pop-reggae feel opens the release. We love the horns and organs that shine through and inject instant bright colour into the piece. Jesse Grossi’s characterful vocals enter, and the song is in full flow.
The main melody is addictive and memorable. We love the chorus too; it is filled with texture and sets the piece alight. There is also a fun video which accompanies the release. It is vibrant, charismatic, and thoroughly engaging.
Jesse Gross says about the release, “‘Bad Girl’ is about my unachievable dream girl, who unfortunately I will never get because I talk too much!” Grossi’s personality shines through during the single, and this is a big part of his charm. There are also honesty and relatability in the music, and these both shine through.
Recording
‘Bad Girl’ was recorded in a home studio, and the vocals were cut in Ferias Studios. Andres Ferias mixed and mastered the track too. Together, the team have done an excellent job in creating a compelling and intriguing song that will stand the test of time.
‘Bad Girl’ is the third single to be taken from Grossi’s new album ‘Tales of a Tragic Journey’, which is scheduled for release on 1st October 2020. We can not wait to hear the full album, and it is definitely a date for the diary!
