John O’Brien – ‘That Girl Is Trouble’
Hailing from Saint Augustine Beach, musician John O’Brien has released his superb E.P. ‘That Girl Is Trouble’ in August 2020.
A vibrant Rock & Roll vibe opens the release. The title track is a storytelling masterpiece with a backdrop of wonderful harmonies and slick guitar accompaniment.
O’Brien says about the song, “(‘That Girl Is Trouble’ is) about a lonely guy that finds a troubled beauty who, after throwing off the advice of his friends to avoid her at all costs, finds the soft loving heart in this woman hardened by life and who then turns out to be the love of his life.”
‘Siboney’ is an atmospheric release with gorgeous percussion and layered vocals. The relaxed vibe is intoxicating, and we loved the acoustic guitar licks. ‘Mother Ocean’ evolves with the listener and carries a hard-hitting message. Finally, ‘Take It Home’ closes the release to an upbeat finish, leaving the listener wanting more!
The John OBrien Experience ‘J.O.B.E
Performing as The John OBrien Experience ‘J.O.B.E.’, O’Brien did have a U.K. tour scheduled for May 2020 with concerts in London, Oxford, Birmingham and Bournemouth. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they have now been rescheduled for mid-November but may be postponed until Spring 2021. Keep an eye on O’Brien’s websites for more details.
