Kingsley Ray – ‘Replay’
Hailing from Richmond, musician Kingsley Ray has released the excellent single ‘Replay’ in January 2021. It is a commercial-pop release that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.
A wonderful atmospheric opening greets the listener before Ray’s soulful and commanding vocals breakthrough. As the beat drops, the single is in full flow and demands the listener’s attention.
We adore Ray’s voice which is filled with character and charm. The layered vocal parts add gorgeous harmonies to the song, creating further warmth and texture to the single. In addition, the chorus is infectious and will have the listener reaching for the repeat button! Kingsley Ray is a talented artist who has a bright future.
Scarecrow Beats
Kingsley Ray worked with producer Scarecrow Beats A.K.A Kevin Touw (Kendrick Lamar, Ginuwine, RL from Next) on this brilliant release. Together, the duo has created a single that puts Kingsley Ray as an artist to watch in the 2020s.
We are so excited to see there is also an album planned for later in 2021. ‘Replay’ is the first single to be taken from the album ‘For Love’, and after hearing the debut release, we can not wait for the full release to drop.
Ray says about his forthcoming release, “It’s a manifesto for love and life. The next few singles and visuals are already lined-up, there were a lot of awesome songs to narrow down for the album, and now I can’t wait to share it!” He continues, “I’m someone who has become further motivated and optimistic after all the strife of 2020 and the state of the world around us. We have to lead in love.”
