KMODO (AKA Chris Nickolls) is a South London based producer/musician. His latest release, ‘WHEN WILL I GET THERE’ is officially released on 5th June 2020.
A stoic kick drum opens the release, and it feels like the heartbeat of the song. Female vocals fill the sonic landscape with their unique luscious tones. We adored the backing synths, they create a solid foundation for everything else to grow from. They take centre stage in places too, linking sections of the song and feel mesmerising. The lyrics are haunting, relatable and hard-hitting. We love the vibe of the single, which is intoxicating and mesmerising too. Production-wise, everything has its own space in the mix with rich tones and warm beats.

‘WHEN WILL I GET THERE’ features the amazing singer Clara Serra Lopez. She has brought her unique sound to the table. This duo is reinventing electronic pop music with this release, and we sincerely hope that they work together again soon.
KMODO also collaborates with other musicians and singers, co-writing and producing. He is a talented artist who is destined for big things in 2020. Influenced by Maribou State, Little Dragon, Caribou, Bonobo and Four Tet, KMODO creates catchy beat-driven, atmospheric songs that blend somewhere between Alt-Pop/Electronica/Downtempo genres.

KMODO has a bright future ahead of him. He is currently putting together a tour for the new material and has new releases and co-writes on the cards for the rest of the year. He has three new tracks ready for release along with live video versions of each track.
