Koalra – ‘Torture’
The magnificent Chicago-based band Koalra are back with their stunning latest release ‘Torture’. It is a dream-pop single which needs to be heard this February 2021.
A bright and engaging full band sound opens the single. The opening dreamy vocals are swimming in a luscious reverb which instantly injects a wonderful texture into the track.
We adore the driving rhythm section. The bass and drums are energetic and filled with texture, engulfing the listener as they go. The layered guitars gracefully underpin the vocals, always complimenting them with harmony and grace.
‘Torture’ has been intelligently arranged, it delicately guides the listener along with the track, and the end result is a single which will have the audience reaching for the repeat button. ‘Torture’ is a single which needs to be heard to be fully appreciated!
Koalra says about this superb latest release, “Torture’ is the second single from our upcoming album called “Into the Everything” set to release on April 2nd.” They continue, “The single along with the album was conceived, written and mostly recorded in an RV while travelling through the national forests across the US.”
