Laura Mustard – ‘Treehouse’ EP
One of our favourite artists is back. Laura Mustard is a folk/pop musician hailing from Nashville. She has released the excellent EP’ Treehouse’ in September 2020, and it is a stunning listen.
The title track, ‘Treehouse’ opens the release: it is wonderfully melodic and stays with the listener long after the music has ended. We love the relaxed vibe to the song and also its charming appeal.
‘Eager’ is instantly attention-grabbing and compels the listener. Mustard’s rich and vibrant vocals masterfully guide the song along. We love the joyous upbeat 60’s vibe to the track, it is a song that will have you reaching for the repeat button! We have added it to our FVMusicBlog Spotify Playlist, check it out here.
‘Teach Me How To Lie’ has a wonderful change in direction. Lyrically, it is deeply relatable and will be a hit with its audience. Also, ‘Spin’ is deeply compelling. It features a superbly played violin and is intoxicating from the beginning to the end.
Mustard says about the release, “This EP wants you to make friends with yourself.” It is a release that is Mustard’s sophomore EP project. There are many themes explored during the 24-minute release ranging from joy to shame and everything in-between.
‘Nobody’s Road’
We thoroughly recommend Laura Mustard. Previously we reviewed her single ‘Nobody’s Road’ in June 2020. Read it here!
Mustard is an artist who goes from strength to strength. We very much enjoyed hearing a full EP release from this troubadour. We very much hope an album comes next!
So make sure you add ‘Treehouse’ EP to your weekday playlist. Laura Mustard is a songstress on a roll, and she is making music that needs to be heard! Listen to the ‘Treehouse’ EP from the link below!
