Lava Suit – ‘Follow’
Hailing from Frankfurt, Lava Suit has released their folk-rock single ‘Follow’, in October 2020. It is the third release from this formidable artist and firmly sets him as an artist to watch in the 2020s.
A full and hauntingly beautiful opening greets the listener. We adore the atmospheric vocals which instantly inject colour and intrigue into the piece. The layered instrumentation all has its own space in the mix, and every part compliments the next.
We love the evocative chorus, which also has a wonderful groove to it. The luscious main melody is memorable and will have the listener reaching for the repeat button. We are sure that ‘Follow’ will please existing Lava Suit fans while simultaneously winning them an army of new ones too. There is also a stunning video which accompanies the release, Lava Suit says, “The video tells a story of a woman and her companion dog, navigating misty forests and pathways, looking for the light at the end of the darkness.” They continue, “The dog is set free, running ahead to find the way, which is perhaps the liberation both need.”

‘Follow’ has been superbly recorded, mixed and produced by G.Kretschmer at HopePunk Studios in Germany. Furthermore, it has been mastered by Tim Lengfeld at TL Mastering in South Africa. Together the team have done an excellent job in creating a single that is rich in heart and will stand the test of time.
Released on HopePunk Records, ‘Follow’ is out now. Lava Suit is en enigmatic and driving artist who are making innovative music. We are so pleased to have discovered his sound, and we very much look forward to hearing what Lava Suit will do next.
