LennyTunes – ‘Film Grain’
‘Film Grain’ is the brilliant ambient and experimental EP from Tel Aviv based artist LennyTunes. There is a cinematic feel to the release that reaches out and touches the listener.
‘Magnetic’ opens the release to a delicate piano and enticing synths. There is an instant draw to the song, which is intoxicating and effortlessly holds the listener’s attention.
‘Depth Perception’ evolves before the audience. The bass feels like the heartbeat of the song, and the layered instrumentation has been wonderfully arranged. In addition, the warm production adds further colour and texture to the piece too.
We adore ‘Tungsten’; it takes the EP in a fresh direction with a driving beat and memorable melodies. Finally, ‘Sillon Ferme’ closes the release and leaves the listener wanting more!
LennyTunes says about the release, “This album was recorded at my studio in Jaffa, on a quiet pandemic-stricken week. Played mainly on a piano and a Minimoog synthesizer. when recorded with the saturated hypnotic nature of the tape, I love how it captured the desolate feeling, but with an amplified sense of harmony and hopefulness.”

LennyTunes is a well-respected musician and composer. He owns LennyTunes Production House in the old city of Jaffa, Israel, and has been active in the industry for over 20 years. He has worked with many artists on collaborations for records and EPs, live shows and film scores. He is a stunning composer and arranger, and we look forward to checking out his back catalogue too.
One thing is for sure, LennyTunes is making music that is creative, innovating and driving. He is continually pushing the sonic boundaries, and we very much look forward to hearing what will come next.
