Levy – ‘Seeing Red’
London-based artist Levy has released the excellent indie-pop single ‘Seeing Red’, in January 2021. It is a wonderful introduction to this formidable artist.
A staccato opening greets the listener. We adore the unpredictable chordal progressions which are apparent from the get-go. Levy’s smooth and intoxicating voice gracefully guides the piece along and masterfully demands the listener’s attention.
The layered vocals are filled with gorgeous harmonies injecting their unique colour into the piece. The backing instrumentation plays complex parts that come together and work well as a cohesive piece of art.
We adore the innovative and unique approach to ‘Seeing Red’. Levy is a talented composer and arranger, and these qualities shine through on this magnificent single.
Levy says about the release, “Every song of mine starts with lyrics, and I wrote ‘Seeing Red’ to deal with feelings of jealousy, the vicious cycle of insecure thoughts it can send you towards, and to remind myself to take those thoughts with a grain of salt.”
Born in Germany and currently residing in London, Levy is an artist with a bright future. We are so excited to see that ‘Seeing Red’ is taken from the forthcoming EP ‘Small Scale Revolutions’. After hearing this magnificent single, we can not wait for the full EP to drop!
Levy’s previous releases have gained over 12,000 streams and radio plays. She is a wonderful musician who works as a keys player, vocal arranger and session vocalist for live bands as well as regular studio sessions at Abbey Road Studio.
We are so excited to see what 2021 will bring for the superb talent. She is an artist who will go far, and we wait with anticipation to see what she will do next!
