Madonnatello – ‘You Owe Me Rent’
Hailing from Denmark, Madonnatello has released the excellent debut single ‘You Owe Me Rent’. It is an indie-pop classic in the making!
A gorgeous organ opens the release; it instantly fills the track with luscious colour and paves the way for the full band to drop. The charismatic vocals enter, and they masterfully take the reins of the single.
We adore the laid back vibe of the song, which evolves before the listener. The mix, master and production are all excellent; every part of the layered instrumentation has its own space in the mix and shines bright.

The band cite their influences as coming from artists such as Talking Heads and Mac DeMarco to Ted Talks and the Eric Andre Show. We can hear these muses coming through on ‘You Owe Me Rent’, but make no mistake, Madonnatello is making innovative music all of their own.
