Marcus Sukiennik – ‘Xmas Piano 1’

Hailing from Cologne, the superb musician Marcus Sukiennik has released the must-hear ‘Xmas Piano 1’ album. It is a cover album that is filled with festive classics to get you in the mood this December 2022. 

‘Alle Jahre wieder’ opens the release and instantly sets the beautiful scene as to what is to come. Sukiennik’s fingers masterfully dance over the keys taking the listener on a journey. 

In addition, ‘Jingle Bells’ is a fresh take on a much-loved song. The arrangement is excellent and is filled with gorgeous harmonies and chordal progressions. 

Moreover, ‘Leise rieselt der Schnee’ features stunning melodies and a welcoming vibe. It has the listener hooked from the get-go. Also, ‘O Jesulein zart’ injects the sonic spectrum with vivid colour. Finally, ‘Stille Nacht’ closes the release, leaving the listener wanting even more!

Marcus Sukiennik says about the release, “It contains ten famous Christmas songs which I arranged as part of a project for live performances in the most famous shopping centre in Cologne, the Rheincenter Weiden, in 2011.” 

He continues, “Since then, the Christmas music has been performed during the Advent and Christmas season – among others, in the 5-star luxury hotel Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne.”

Elegance

Marcus Sukiennik is a one-man solo piano-playing machine. We adore his style and elegance, and ‘Xmas Piano 1’ is an album that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.
