Hailing from Spokane, musician Mark Houston has released the superb single ‘The Way It Goes’ in February 2021. It is an indie-folk release with a big heart.
A gorgeous acoustic guitar opens the release and sets the scene wonderfully as to what is to come. As the full band sound drops, the single is in full flow.
We love Mark Houston’s charming and characterful vocals, which instantly inject their luscious colour into the track. The relatable lyrics reach out and touch the listener too, allowing the audience to connect to ‘The Way It Goes’.

Mark Houston says about the release, “This track is taken from my debut full-length album, which is scheduled for release this year. ‘The Way It Goes’ is an alternative/indie/folk artist’s take on a cheeky pop song, with the concept centring around ‘taking off the rose-coloured glasses.’
