Miss Elm – ‘The Shape of Light’ EP

One of our favourite artists, Miss Elm, is back with her latest release, ‘The Shape of Light’. This stunning five-track EP has a fresh Folk-Pop feel and is destined to win the hearts of its listeners.

‘Clean State’ opens the release and Miss Elm’s luscious vocals shine from the get-go. The driving beat kicks in, and we found ourselves captivated. We loved ‘The Castle’, it has a strong folk feel with human percussion in the start. As the track progresses a full beat drops in and out, making for a textured piece.

We adored ‘Seasons’ for the stripped back instrumentation, which lets the excellent song shine. ‘Yin and Yang’ has another strong folk vibe and an addictive beat. The final track, ‘Let Go Let Love’ finishes the song off beautifully and leaves the listener wanting more.

‘The Shape of Light’ EP follows the releases of the 2019 singles, ‘Clean Slate’ and ‘The Castle’. Miss Elm says, “I created this EP as I was learning how to understand the unfolding of a new chapter in my life while using my Ukuleles as a tool. I want my fans to feel as if they’ve been on the journey with me as we unpack themes of endurance, growth, love, fresh starts and expression.”

There is also a tour to celebrate the release. Miss Elm will be supported by two phenomenal musicians, Brisbane Singer-Songwriters; Maisy Taylor and Hello Jane. If you can, check out the dates below!
