Mitchel Logan – ‘Don’t Really Need You’
Mitchel Logan is an excellent musician hailing from Essex Junction. His latest release ‘Don’t Really Need You’ is an indie-pop release that needs to be heard!
A welcoming electric guitar opens the piece before the beat drops, and Logan’s soulful vocals enter. We adore how the vocals and the guitar riff dance around one another, creating harmony and texture within the piece.
As the chorus drops, the audience is fully enthralled. The chorus is memorable, and the main melody stays with the listener long after the music has ended. The horn breaks are gorgeous and add a further layer of texture to the piece.
In addition, lyrically, ‘Don’t Really Need You’ is sublime. Logan knows how to connect with his audience and allows us to feel less alone together.
Logan says about the release, “‘Don’t Really Need You’ is a rhythmically upbeat, catchy, and satirical song about what happens when your relationship is missing a flame.” He continues, “Lyrics such as, “You could drop a plate or two, and I’ll go slam a door… You could start to pack some things, and I’ll ask are these yours?'” bring a funny new spin on adding some passion.”
Initially, Logan pursued a career in Entomology only to realise his true passion was music. His career began in 2019, and in just a year he has amassed an impressive 12,000 followers on Spotify. This is a testament to the skill he possesses.
So make sure you make a note of the name Mitchel Logan, it may be the first time that you have heard it, but we are confident that it will not be the last. ‘Don’t Really Need You’ is available from the link below. Enjoy!
