Nigel Brown – ‘Something Good Will Come’

London-based artist Nigel Brown has released the brilliant album ‘Something Good Will Come’ in February 2022. It is an Americana album that is filled with melodic hooks and driving guitars.

‘Won’t Be Your Love’ opens the album to a punchy and attention-grabbing full band sound. There is a 60’s feel to the composition, which is enthralling and compelling.

We enjoyed ‘When In Doubt’; it features layered vocals and a gorgeous chordal progression. The title track is a laid back song with rousing lyrics. It is a track that will have you reaching for the repeat button!

‘Soldiers Again’ showcases a slower song with layers of guitars and ‘A Little Bit Hurt’ has a gorgeous guitar hook from the get-go. Finally, ‘Thanks For Nothing’ closes the release and leaves the listener wanting more!

Prolific Talent

Brown is a prolific writer who continually pushes forward and breaks down barriers. In 2009 he pledged to write and record ten albums. ‘Something Good Will Come’ is Brown’s tenth release – Congratulations, Nigel! After hearing ‘Something Good Will Come’, we can not wait to check out Brown’s back catalogue too!

Brown says about the release, “I began writing these songs in early 2021. Although the lockdown had its obvious downsides, for myself, it was an opportunity to pursue my passion for songwriting.”

He continues, “After a few weeks, I had eleven new songs, including all the lyrics. These were just basic demos played on an acoustic guitar and a vocal, and maybe a backing vocal if something stood out. I like the songs to stand on their own in this way. To me, this is the basic test of a good song.” We could not agree more!

Eleven Track Release

‘Something Good Will Come’ is an eleven-track album release that takes the listener on a journey. We are so thrilled to have discovered Nigel Brown; he is a superb talent that needs to be heard!
