Plastic Barricades – ‘Self-Theories’
Hailing from London, Plastic Barricades have released the superb album ‘Self-Theories’ in November 2020. It is an indie-pop/rock release that needs to be heard!
‘Tunnel’ opens the release and instantly fills the sonic spectrum with a catchy and upbeat vibe. Plastic Barricades work harmoniously together, and each of the layered instrumentation shines in the mix. Also, we adore the intoxicating melodies that draw the listener in.
Other stand out tracks include; ‘Glaring Screens’ from the syncopated drumbeat to the melodic guitars, the song shines bright. ‘Right To Be Adored’ features wonderful lyrics that speak directly to the listener. ‘Game Of Numbers’ evolves with the audience, the arrangement is superb, and we adore the layers of colour within the piece.
Interestingly, ‘Self-Theories’ was recorded in a backyard shed in North-West London. Paul Love has superbly mixed it, and the album was mastered by Andy Baldwin at Metropolis Studios in London. In addition, Elina Pasok has created the eye-catching album artwork too. Together the team have done an excellent job in creating an album that is a classic in the making.
