Poe the Passenger – ‘Heart Strings’

Poe the Passenger are an alternative-rock trio hailing from Los Angeles. Their latest single, ‘Heart Strings,’ is an indie-pop classic in the making.

Warm and welcoming vocals open this superb single. An acoustic guitar accompanies them, and the scene is set. The main melody is memorable and will have the listener reaching for the repeat button.

The instrumentation grows as the single evolves. We adore the big second chorus, which is filled with luscious colour and texture. ‘Heart Strings’ is a catchy and compelling listen that needs to be heard this Spring 2021!

In addition, we have added ‘Heart Strings’ to our FV Music Blog Spotify Playlist; enjoy here!

Poe the Passenger are comprised of band members Jeff Pridgen (vocals and guitar), Trent Marderosian (drums), and Matt Rosenblum (bass). They are all clearly excellent musicians, but when they come together, magic happens.

The band have also recently released the singles ‘Sweet Talk’ and ‘My Own’. After hearing ‘Heart Strings’, we can not wait to check out their back catalogue too.

Influences

This superb group cite their influences as coming from artists such as The Foo Fighters, Incubus and Radiohead. We can hear these muses coming through on ‘Heart Strings’, but make no mistake; Poe the Passenger is making music all of their own.

Poe the Passenger are a hardworking band who have played upwards of 100 shows. We very much recommend checking out a high energy live show when possible.

So make sure you add ‘Heart Strings’ to your playlist this week. Poe the Passenger are a band with a bright and promising future, and we very much look forward to hearing what will come next!
