‘End Of The World’
Raymond Revel is an FV Music Blog favourite. We are thrilled to see him back with his latest single, ‘End Of The World’. It is an indie-folk masterpiece that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated.
Firstly, a beautiful string arrangement opens the piece. A rich cello underpins layered guitars. This all paves the way for Raymond Revel’s unique and colourful vocals. His clean and precise performance is warm and inviting. Moreover, the layered vocals are filled with warmth and create a wonderful texture within the piece.
There is a great riff that we hear at the beginning of the track which returns after each chorus like a friend coming home. In addition, a stoic kick drum enters which soon begins to feel like the heartbeat of the single. Likewise, the percussion grows as the track does, culminating in a well-composed and arranged song.
Raymond Revel Talks About ‘End Of The World’
Revel says about the release, “‘End Of The World’ provides the listener with an elaborate story about a man who is searching to find the edge of the earth. He is a wayfarer, a wanderer, a voyager, and his curiosity is never-ending.”
The production of this tune is superb. Revel worked with Keith Harris and Voyager Mastering (who has previously collaborated with the likes of Ben Rector, Dave Barnes, Cody Fry, Clay Finnesand, and many more). Together, they have created a piece of art which will make waves this summer 2020.
So make sure you add ‘End Of The World’ to your weekend playlist. To sum up, Raymond Revel is such an exciting artist who is continually creating innovating music that will stand the tests of time. Above all, we very much look forward to hearing what he will do next.
