Norwegian producer and musician Ruben Dawnson has released ‘FYALMA’, on 7th February and it is a magnificent single.
A Jazz electric guitar opens the piece before a pop-funk feel pushes through. Dawnson’s vocals are warm and have a rich tone to them. They effortlessly guide the song along and dictate the overall vibe of the single. The upbeat feel to the track is juxtaposed to the vulnerable and honest lyrics. Mixing the two opposing emotions works wonderfully and gives ‘FYALMA’ its unique and powerful feel.
Towards the end of the piece, the tempo slows as it did at the beginning of the song. It is these unusual twists and turns, fusing of genres and melodies that keep ‘FYALMA’ feeling fresh. Dawnson is a master of his craft; he knows how to captivate the listener and relate to them.
‘FYALMA’ stands for, ‘F*ck You Anxiety Leave Me Alone’, it is a bold and honest song which we think many people (including us!) will find relatable. Raw honesty and emotion run through the track, and it is an anthem for the people.
Dawnson says, “This is by far the most liberating song I’ve ever written! It’s a big f*ck you anthem to anxiety! Like many others, I’ve been struggling with it for a long time. Hopefully, this can lift people’s spirit, and I hope people will connect with it and scream out the lyrics! I really want it to reach as many as possible and help create a big ‘f*ck you’ wave towards anxiety! I know it won’t solve any deep issues people might have, but hopefully, it can make someone feel less lonely.”
This is the start of a big year for Dawnson, check out ‘FYALMA’ today!
