Saint Mars are back with their superb latest single, ‘Help’. Released officially on 22nd November 2019; it is a heavy-driven pop anthem that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
A fun vibe opens the song instantly grabbing the listener’s attention. Kicks, claps and synths all fill the sonic landscape before inviting, and characterful vocals appear. The jingly middle eight is filled with charm and is the perfect prelude to the heavier chorus. We adored the chorus; its driving nature and infectious melody are brilliant. We looked forward in anticipation of it coming around each time throughout the arrangement.
There are also incredible texture changes throughout the song. The stripped-back penultimate chorus is a prime example of this. Saint Mars know how to get your attention and do not let it go until the last note rings.
With a sound reminiscent of Paramore, Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At the Disco and Bang Bang Romeo, Saint Mars make a sound that is unmistakably their own. Mixing infectious grooves with a textured performance, they are destined to have a big hit on their hands with ‘Help’.
Saint Mars are comprised of keyboardist and singer, Marc Darcange (a.k.a. M.D.), as well as Massive Attack guitarist Angelo Bruschini. The band’s frontman is wunderkind Tryzdin (15), who shot to fame at the age of 11 years old when a Youtube video of him singing Adele’s ‘Hello’ went stratospheric. He has accumulated nearly 3.7 million views so far.
‘Help’ is the follow-up release of Saint Mars’s critically acclaimed 2019 single, ‘Loveghost’. Both tracks have been taken from the bands’ forthcoming album, ‘Boys Never Cry’. We can not wait for the full album release, until then make sure you check out ‘Help’, it is a classic in the making.
