Sespool – ‘Newsflash’
Sespool (AKA Sean E), is a songwriter and producer hailing from San Francisco, CA. His latest release ‘Newsflash’ is an alternative-rock single that is making waves this June 2020.
A solo guitar opens the piece accompanied by Sespool’s smooth and enticing vocals. The beat drops and the melodies are instantly infectious. We love the chorus, which is addictive and draws the listener in. The rich production lets the single shine, and we can feel ‘Newsflash’ resonating with many people across the globe.

Sespool says about the release, “‘Newsflash’ is a visceral reaction to quarantine. No work to go to. No people to see. Left only with yourself and what you really love, or don’t. As frightening and awful as this pandemic has been, I found some enlightenment in quarantine that allowed me to focus solely on myself for the first time in my adult life. So ask yourself, what do you want?” We are sure this will resonate with a number of people during the lockdown and as we go forward in these strange times. ‘Newsflash’ makes the listener feel less alone.
‘Newsflash’ was recorded in Sespool’s home studio in San Francisco and was mastered by Bill at Azimuth Mastering. Together the duo has done an excellent job in creating a piece of art that is memorable and thoroughly compelling.
Sespool spent a decade in the indie rock scene before transitioning to a solo artist in 2019. He cites his influences as Pink Floyd, Mew, Drake, Juice Wrld, and Yes. We can hear these influences coming through during ‘Newsflash’, but Sespool is making innovative music all of his own.
