Sophie Coran – ‘Circles’
Philadelphia-based musician Sophie Coran has released the excellent live recording of her song ‘Circles’. It is a singer-songwriter release with a big heart.
This live recording of ‘Circles’ is a stripped-back version of the song with the talented Shelby Yamin on violin. Together, the duo have released a single that is compelling and will stand the test of time.
A gorgeous duet emerges between Yamin’s beautiful violin and Coran’s luscious vocals. The two harmoniously guide the single along creating texture as they go.
Wonderful keys enter, and the single is in full flow. The relatable lyrics fill the sonic spectrum and reach out to touch the listener. Sophie Coran has the ability to allow us to feel less alone together and this is demonstrated during ‘Circles’.
‘Circles’ is an intelligently composed song which also features a magnificent arrangement. Sophie Coran is a wonderful composer who is set to make waves with this formidable release.
Coran says, “I’m a Philadelphia-based artist, and classify my music as “Noir & B,” a hybrid of R&B, jazz, and soul with a sense of nostalgia. I’m inspired by cinematic orchestration from 20th-century films and influenced by artists such as Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Rey.”
Full Album Release
We are so excited to see that Coran has a full album due for release in 2021. It is her debut album release and after hearing this superb version of ‘Circles’, we can not wait for the full album to drop!
