Starr Blazerz – ‘Night Swimming’
Alternative pop duo Starr Blazerz have released their superb single ‘Night Swimming’ in September 2020.
Gorgeous horns open the release. A dreamy electric guitar joins, and as the beat drops, stunning vocals appear. Lyrically, ‘Night Swimming’ is relatable, and this is a big part of its charm.
We adore the chorus; the main melody is infectious and thoroughly compelling. Starr Blazerz is making music that is affecting and ‘Night Swimming’ is a song which will have you reaching for the repeat button. In addition, we have added it to our FV Music Blog Playlist, check it out here.
Starr Blazerz say about the release, “The song was inspired by the youthful pastime of joyfully swimming at night, maybe at a creek, in a river, or at the beach.” They continue, “The vibe was intended to be more, ‘chill’ than most other Starr Blazerz records, while still keeping their unmistakable vibe.”
Starr Blazerz are comprised of band members Glen Reynolds (singer/songwriter) and Justin Marlowe (SoundControl – keyboards/synthesizer/sequencing/producer). Reynolds has collaborated with artists such as Kenrick Lamar, Talib Kweli, Macklamore & Ryan Lewis, producer, S1, and indie rock band, Chomsky. The pair first began writing together in 2013 and are a band who are going from strength to strength.
Formidable Duo
Reynolds and Marlowe are excellent musicians in their own right, but when they come together, magic happens. One thing is for sure, Starr Blazerz are a formidable duo who are making excellent music that needs to be heard!
