Steelyard – ‘Don’t Let Go’
Hailing from Arnhem in the Netherlands, Steelyard has released the superb single ‘Don’t Let Go’, in February 2021. It is an electronic-pop release that needs to be heard!
A gorgeous piano opens the release before the charismatic and enticing vocals enter. We adore the layered instrumentation, which grows as the track progresses.
As the beat drops, the single is in full flow. We love the driving nature of the track, which is filled with colour and texture. Steelyard knows how to write a song that draws the listener in and holds their attention effortlessly.
In addition, the gorgeous shifts in tempo take the listener on unexpected twists and turn throughout the single. This keeps the audience fully engaged. ‘Don’t Let Go’ is a song that needs to be heard to be fully appreciated!
Steelyard says about the release, “We wanted to catch the moment in a positive way. We went back to basics to eventually start with a clean musical sheet. We love the typical synth-wave vibe and really wanted to merge a sound together with modern, even urban influences.”
They continue, “That’s what ‘Don’t Let Go’ is about. It’s a song which has something for everyone, and it’s a story everybody can relate to in a way.”
