The Miller Test – ‘Karaoke Lovers’

London-based band The Miller Test, has released the brilliant single ‘Karaoke Lovers’ in August 2020. It is an indie-rock track that will win the hearts of its listeners.

Jangly guitars open the release. They are soon joined by layered vocals that are attention-grabbing and instantly enjoyable. We adore the driving guitars which along with the rhythmic section form a solid foundation for the vocals to shine. The chorus is catchy and memorable, and we are sure that The Miller Test is onto a winner with ‘Karaoke Lovers’!

Taken from the band’s album ‘This Funk Is Political’, ‘Karaoke Lovers’ is a must-hear release this summer. In fact, the whole album is! We really enjoyed ‘Famous World’, it has an emotional opening and slowly evolves before the listener. ‘Bigger Soul’ hears the melodic bass shine from the get-go. ‘House of Flops’ carries the addictive grooves through the release and ‘Love My Criminal’ (in a Nick Cave style) leaves the listener wanting more.

The #1 Writing Tool

The band say about the release, “The songs are sometimes cryptic, sometimes cynical, but always sympathetic to their cast of beautiful losers.” This message comes through in the songs, and we are sure the band will please existing Miller Test fans while winning them an army of new ones too.

The Band

Having played together for over a decade, this is a band who are well versed in collaboration and producing excellent music. We are excited about this latest single and full album release. We can not recommend it enough.

So, make sure you add The Miller Test to your weekend playlist. They are a band who are making quality and relevant music, and we look forward to hearing what they will do next.
