VDXi – ‘Vulnerable Rebellion’

‘Vulnerable Rebellion’ is the excellent rock release by VDXi. It is a wonderful introduction to a superb artist, and one that you need to hear this winter 2021!

A theatrical opening greets the listener, which is instantly appealing and draws the audience in. A gorgeous vocal and impactful synths fill the sonic spectrum with a luscious tone.

As the full band enters (all performed by VDXi), a characterful guitar solo emerges. It is filled with colour and texture; effortlessly guiding the track along. The electric guitar takes the audience on a melodic journey which is thoroughly compelling.

Towards the end of the song, the familiar vocals return and bring the piece full circle. ‘Vulnerable Rebellion’ is a song which will have the listener reaching for the repeat button!

We adore the twists and turns in the piece which are unexpected, and they keep the song feeling fresh. VDXi told us that the entire composition was recorded in one take, without any overdubbing, which is testament to the high level of musicianship that he possesses.

VDXi says about the release, “I sometimes get inspired by Vangelis (would be a dream to be able to replicate his sound), Jean Michel Jarre, Alan Parsons, and Enya.” We can hear some of these influences coming through on ‘Vulnerable Rebellion’ but make no mistake, VDXi is an artist who is making music all of his own.

Intelligent Composer

The thought that struck us most upon hearing ‘Vulnerable Rebellion’ is, what a talented musician and intelligent arranger and composer VDXi is. He knows how to keep the audience engaged and at the same time, leaves us wanting more!

So make sure you check out ‘Vulnerable Rebellion’ from the link below. We very much look forward to listening to VDXi’s other releases too!
