Victor Perry – ‘What I Deserve’
Victor Perry is a musician hailing from New York City. His latest single ‘What I Deserve’, is an alt-pop/alt-r&b single that is making waves in 2020.
Perry’s atmospheric vocals open the release. They are underpinned with luscious synths. His vocal performance is warm and inviting with beautiful melodies that entice the listener. Wonderful harmonies enter, and they add extra layers of texture to the piece. We adore the kick drum on the second verse, which feels like the heartbeat of the song and a beautiful string arrangement adds magnificent colour to the piece too.

‘What I Deserve’ is a cinematic and compelling single that needs to be heard. ‘What I Deserve’ was recorded at JahRockn Studios in NYC and was produced by Chris Belmont. Together, Perry and Belmont have created a piece of art that will stand the test of time.
Perry says about the release, “‘The song follows the narrative of how someone feels guilty after a relationship goes awry. How and where does one place that guilt is something we all struggle with from time to time.”
He continues, “I was one day watching a concert of RY X and became so overcome with emotion that I just started writing. I didn’t really have any idea what I was writing about, but I decided to for in that ‘feel’. I too often close myself off from what I feel. This song is a true representation of some emotions that I deal with on a day to day basis.”
Victor Perry grew up singing in church and has been an active artist/recording artist for the last seven years. He is a dedicated and hard-working musician who is producing innovative releases. We very much look forward to hearing what he will do next.
