White Horses – ‘My Love’

Hailing from Ascot, White Horses have released their brilliant indie-pop single ‘My Love’ in November 2020. It is a beautiful release with a big heart.

Warm guitars open the song before a full band sound drops. We adore the opening vocals that are filled with colour and charm. There is a warmth in the vocal performance that shines through and instantly compels the listener.

Lyrically, ‘My Love’ is appealing and relatable. White Horses know how to draw the listener in and hold their attention effortlessly. The main melody line is memorable and stays with the listener long after the music has ended. In addition, the gorgeous horn adds a further layer of texture to the piece. Simply magical.

White Horses say about the release, “My love was written during the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown, and is an observation song about a couple hoping for a brighter future.”

White Horses AKA Stuart Harris is a wonderful songwriter. Previously he has worked with the likes of Trevor Horn, The Pet Shop Boys, Motorhead and Captain Sensible.

Harris has teamed up with vocalist James Deane (who has toured with Green Day, Muse, Stereophonics, Tom Jones, Roxette, Catatonia, The Verve and Teenage Fanclub) and producer Damon Sawyer on this latest release. Also ‘My Love’ has been mastered by Ed Truckell at Crescent Records Studio in Swindon. Together the team have done an excellent job in creating a single that is heartwarming and will stand the test of time.

So make sure you check out ‘My Love’ this week. Stuart Harris is a brilliant composer whose work needs to be heard. We very much look forward to hearing what he will do next!

‘My Love’ is available from the link below, enjoy!
