‘Will You Be There’ is the wonderful single by singer/songwriter Yana. It has been taken from the anticipated ‘Distant Shore’ EP due for release in 2020. Hailing from the Czech Republic, she is an artist who has strong ties to Ireland, and this shines through during this latest single. 

Released officially on the 29th November 2019 ‘Will You Be There’ begins with a mysterious feel. It has stripped back instrumentation that lets the song shine in the light in which it was written. With a strong folk feel, Yana’s vocals guide the song beautifully along. The addition of a piano (expertly played by Liam Ó Maonlaí of Hothouse Flowers) lifts the track and the two duets together beautifully. The guitar alternates from being picked to strummed and great textures are achieved within the piece. The layered vocals also offer colour of their own and help the song to shine bright. 

Yana says about the release, “It hopes that whatever happens to us we are never alone, there’s always going to be somebody by our side. It’s not specified whether that is a family member, a partner, a friend, that’s up to the listener to decide.” This is a message we can all take solace from and positive vibes to be giving out into the world. We feel Yana’s music will reach and give comfort to a lot of people. 

We were pleased to see Yana’s debut single receive great radio support with airplay in the USA, UK, Australia and Ireland (Acoustic Yard Radio, KCLR 96FM, Dublin City FM, Strabane Radio Online, Dublin South FM, Near FM). She has  also recently supported The Hills Mover from Belgium. We feel 2020 will be a big year from Yana, get on board and check out this exciting artist today!
