Wow! We have just discovered ‘Lavender’ by the hip hop artist, Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L. Its relaxed groove and addictive beat will soon become your song of the summer.

Standing at a respectable 2minutes and 49 seconds, ‘Lavender’ is perfect for a radio edit. From the opening first few bars, it grabs the listeners’ attention and holds onto it. The opening hears a section that is taken from what we will soon discover to be the chorus. To begin with, it feels like a sample until we hear it again later on and it is recognisable as Breon’s inviting voice.

We adored the syncopated beat which underpins the lyrics. The instruments build as the track progresses with a nod to a trapp feel in the high-hats. The bass is big and with the volume turned up (as all music should be), the listener can feel it pulsating through their body. This engages the listener and makes them feel part of the magic which if occurring before their ears. The groove is laid back and incredibly atmospheric with subtle nuances that make the track a very special piece of music.

Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L’s rap is the star of the piece. It is confident and eloquent with a charismatic feel. The lyrics flow from his tongue effortlessly and the cadences land perfectly every time. His skill and expertise effortlessly pour from his mouth and there is no doubt in his talents that lie in lyrical composition.

This up and coming Brooklyn based artist is innovating new school Hip-Hop. ‘Lavender’ is the perfect example of the incredible new talent coming through and we will be watching with eager anticipation to see what will come next from such an exciting talent.
