London based band Circumnavigate, have released their magnificent latest single ‘Layer You Up’ today, 15th May 2020.

An atmospheric piano opening greets the listener. We love the warm and enticing vibe that it emanates. Luscious vocals soon enter, filled with emotion and heart. The graceful feel continues, a second vocal enters, and the layers of textures are building. Nothing feels rushed, and the piece naturally evolves.

Every element of this track has been executed to perfection. We adore the honest and heartwarming lyrics; they are destined to resonate with the song’s audience. The vocal performance is stunning, and the vocals shine at the forefront of the mix. ‘Layer You Up’ is a classic song in the making.

Circumnavigate – ‘Layer You Up’

Circumnavigate are comprised of band members, Sigrid – Vocals, Joshua – Piano, Ross – Drums/Vocals, and Charlie – Bass. They are all excellent musicians separately, but when they come together, magic happens. They say, “This single is inspired by seeing someone having a hard time and offering to shield and protect them.” This is something we can all relate to, especially in these trying times, and it is what connects Circumnavigate to their audience.

Originally from Oslo, the band cite their influences such as Aurora, Lorde, Highasakite, Matt Corby, Gerald Clayton, Thomas Dybdahl, Daughter, Submotion Orchestra, Cinematic Orchestra, and Sigur Rós. We can hear some of these artists coming through on ‘Layer You Up’ but Circumnavigate are making new and innovating music all of their own.

So make sure you check out ‘Layer You Up’ this weekend. Circumnavigate are a talented and exciting band. We can not wait to hear what they will do next.
