London based band, Hunter Gatherers released their latest single ‘Run Boy’ on the 12th December 2019. It is a high-octane and unrelenting piece that is destined to be your go-to new single!

A bass opens the single before the drums drop too. Exciting and compelling from the get-go, the pace does not dissipate, and there is an urgency in the music. Heavily effected vocals narrate the story, and the catchy chorus is simply mesmerising.

There is also a brilliant video that accompanies the release. The Anime-style video by the brilliant animator Ana García Sebastiá is a wonderful accompaniment to the release. Rich in atmospheric and energy, it is a must-see!

Hunter Gatherers says, “The video tells the story of a young man who’s been hiding out from his nemesis the Voodoo Woman. He gets an anonymous tip-off that she has found him, and there follows a breathless chase around the urban wastelands of the desolate city, featuring her cronies, a helpful rat and a rendezvous in an abandoned army base.”

Hunter Gatherers are comprised of British guitarist Peter Michaels, Polish violinist Agata Kubiak, Brazilian bassist Matheus Nova and Spanish drummer Demi Garcia Sabat. This diverse line up of musicians is what gives Hunter Gatherers their brilliantly unique character and charm.

The members have been playing together across the UK music scene for more than a decade, and Peter formed the group to unite their diverse influences. The band’s sound ranges across stomping country blues, screaming rock, scratchy reggae, intimate folk and soulful gospel. With such a diverse range of genres, we can not wait to check out their back catalogue.
