London based band Numbers Station, released their superb debut single ‘Quiver/Honesty’ in March 2020.
Released in two parts, ‘Quiver’ is a hard-hitting rock song filled with intriguing melodies and a driving beat. We love the upbeat tempo and layered vocals which elevate the single. The chorus is catchy and memorable with interesting chordal progressions and intelligent arrangements. The lower toned voice is mesmerising and attention-grabbing too.
‘Honesty’ is completely juxtaposing in tone. It is a much slower song that opens with a beautifully picked electric guitar and attention-grabbing drums. The vocals shine in their emotive performance. The song builds in layers, rising and falling before a full band sound kicks in. The band’s trademark layered vocals compliment the single perfectly.
Numbers Station are comprised of band members, Jack Heywood – Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Jake Jones – Vocals, Bass, and Mikey Teal – Drums, Backing Vocals. ‘Quiver/Honesty’ was recorded at AudioHaus Studio in Wembley, produced and Mixed by Jay Jacobs, and mastered by Ben Pearce at EDGE Mastering. Together, they have created two superb singles which set Numbers Station apart from the crowd.
Numbers Station say, “Since forming in January 2019 we’ve been hard at work writing material and gigging in the London scene, playing small venues across North London including The Fiddlers Elbow, The Water Rats and The Hope & Anchor.” They continue, “Quiver has been opening our sets since May of 2019, and aims to instantly set the mood for a high energy set with its intense driving beat and no-holds-barred approach to loud, punchy, ‘in-your-face’ alternative rock.”
Make sure you check out ‘Quiver/Honesty’ this week. Numbers Station are an exciting band who are destined for big things in 2020.
